CUDDLE PROGRAM

We get pretty busy sometimes so we don’t always get a chance to interact with the animals as much as we’d like. The animals shouldn’t miss out on human interaction so each type of animal (dogs, cats, rats, guinea pigs and birds) are allocated a 30 minute time slot per day. Volunteer cuddlers are then rostered to spend up to 30mins playing with, walking, cuddling, patting, handling or just talking to the animals.

This program is open to all age groups and you can nominate for as little or as much time as you like. Not everyone gets every time and every animal that they nominate for but we try to accommodate as best we can.

Volunteer Cuddling is a great starting point for people wanting to work with animals or people who love animals but can’t have certain pets of their own or people who just love spending time with animals. And the animals just LOVE all of the attention!

If you would like to register your interest please download the application form and return it with a character reference (a teacher, neighbour, friend of the family who can vouch for the kind of person you are). Once a time slot becomes available we’ll give you a call.
