At Brisbane Pet Headquarters we believe that ALL animals should be given the best chance at a good life. That’s why we have such strict adoption processes. We ask questions of potential owners and make sure everyone has the right and most up to date knowledge on how to best care for their new pet. Even fish aren’t sold without asking some basic questions like: How big is the tank? How long has the tank been set up for? What already lives in the tank?

We won’t sell you things you don’t need but we will sell you things that are in your pet’s best interests.

We are also an adoption centre for The Animal Welfare League Qld so we exclusively rehome their dogs and cats (ie we don’t support backyard breeders or puppy farms). The dogs and cats range in age from 8 weeks to 8 years and sometimes they may have issues that only a mother could love them for but they are always desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and health checked. They come with a 10 day health guarantee* and a 21 day settling in guarantee* (*conditions apply). Every potential new owner must undergo an interview and all paperwork (microchip transfer and council registration) must be filled out before the animal leaves the store. By documenting the adoption of the dog or cat we can potentially reduce the numbers of stray and unwanted animals.
